It depends on your boiler and whether you want zone control. Nest and Hive are both reliable and work with most modern boilers. I'll recommend the right one when I see your setup.
Will a smart thermostat work with my boiler?
Most modern combi, system and heat-only boilers are compatible. Older boilers with no switching live may need an adapter. I check compatibility before fitting.
How long does installation take?
Usually 1–2 hours. If your current thermostat is wired and needs rewiring, allow a bit more.
Do I need an app?
You can use the physical controls without an app. The app gives you remote control and scheduling — it is optional but recommended.
