Draft — for professional legal review

Membership Terms

The terms that apply to Bronze, Silver and Gold homeowner membership plans. This is a plain-English summary — not a substitute for professional legal advice, and these terms have not yet been through formal legal review.

1. How to join

Membership is available only after I've completed a paid boiler service, repair or heating-system inspection at your property. You can enquire online at any time, but every application is reviewed and accepted by me personally — membership isn't automatic. Once accepted, I arrange the monthly Direct Debit myself. The qualifying paid work that made you eligible is not itself included in the membership.

2. One membership, one property

Each membership is attached to one residential property and covers the heating system, controls and radiators at that property. It is not transferable to a different property without a new application.

3. The included annual service

Every plan includes one annual boiler service, covering one boiler at the property.

4. 12-month minimum term

Bronze, Silver and Gold all require a 12-month minimum term from the date your membership is accepted.

5. Monthly Direct Debit

Membership is paid by monthly Direct Debit, which I set up and manage directly once your application is accepted.

6. The 90-day waiting period

On Silver and Gold, the standard £80 diagnostic charge is waived, and on all three plans the labour discount applies — but both benefits only activate after 90 continuous days of membership. This waiting period resets if membership lapses and is later rejoined.

7. What Bronze, Silver and Gold include

Bronze (£8.99/mo): annual boiler service, service reminder, digital service record, heating health check, and 5% off my labour on repairs after 90 days.

Silver (£14.99/mo): everything in Bronze, plus the standard diagnostic charge waived after 90 days, 10% off my labour on repairs, a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm check, and priority access to the earliest available appointment.

Gold (£19.99/mo): everything in Silver, plus 15% off my labour on repairs, the highest appointment priority (subject to availability), an annual magnetic filter clean where fitted and safely accessible, an annual heating efficiency check, and an annual system water quality check.

8. What's excluded

Parts, materials and any additional labour beyond what's specifically included are always chargeable separately, on every plan. Pre-existing faults present before your membership started are excluded. Any repairs I recommend are excluded from the membership unless I've agreed in writing to include it. I may ask for repairs to be completed before accepting a property onto a plan.

9. Priority booking

Priority means access to the earliest available appointment slot. On every plan, including Gold, priority never guarantees same-day or emergency attendance.

10. Safe access

You'll need to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and the relevant appliances for any service or work to be carried out under your membership.

11. Cancelling your membership

Membership can be cancelled after the 12-month minimum term has been completed. Please get in touch to arrange this.

12. Moving home

Because membership is tied to a specific property, it doesn't automatically transfer if you move. Please let me know if you're moving so I can discuss your options with you.

13. Missed payments

If a Direct Debit payment fails, I'll get in touch to resolve it. Continued non-payment may result in the membership being suspended or ended.

14. Ending a membership where I can't safely provide the service

If I'm no longer able to safely or reasonably service a property under a membership — for example, due to persistent access issues or a property condition that falls outside the scope of the plan — I may end the membership, and I'll always try to explain why.

15. Not insurance

Membership is a service plan, not an insurance product. It does not provide full, total, or unlimited repair cover, and it is not emergency insurance or guaranteed emergency cover of any kind.

16. Statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

These Membership Terms are a draft, written in plain English for clarity. They have not yet been reviewed or approved by a solicitor, and should be treated as a summary of how membership currently works rather than a definitive legal document.
